Course Objective The objective of this course is to develop website design and implementation skills so that at the end of the course students will be able to design and build websites that exemplify good principles of design, usability, economy, and efficiency. Prerequisite: familiarity with Internet searching. |
Course Description This course concentrates on the principles of good web design and information architecture while developing practical webpage and website construction skills using a variety of software for a variety of environments. Upon successful completion of this course, students will:

Grading and Expectations This is a fast-paced, hands-on, task-oriented class.
Content is progressive and cumulative. Students are encouraged and expected to actively
participate and share in class, and in online discussions, and to assist each other
freely. |
This is a "no paper exchange" class. The student must bring TWO (2) 3-1/2" IBM-formatted disks to each class session, and must save all work on both disks. The duplicate disk will be turned in for evaluation. |
Assignments are
due by the deadlines posted. 90+ points = A Numbered
Assignments constitute 33% of the final grade. Daring, creativity, curiosity, exuberance, and persistence will be positively rewarded. |
